IEEE Foundation-sponsored STEM workshops for promoting computing for female students in Saudi Arabia.

 Continuing our IEEE Foundation series of workshops that have been conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s high schools since 2010, the second series of workshops was launched this year, with the event titled “Computing & Me”, a novel take on the original idea which was proposed, organized, and led by Mrs. Ebtisam AlAbdulqader, in co-ordination with Ms. Hebah AlMoaiqel, and with the participation of 18 student participants .

This event was conducted on Apr 28, and its goal was promoting a better understanding of Computing and Information Technology fields and addressing inquiries about the field via hands-on activities and panel discussions.The participants were graduate students and senior students, shared their experiences about the computing field in a presentation segment, followed by an interactive Q&A session with the high school student audience during the panel discussion.

We closed the Computing and Me event with an on-site project fair, which showcased our participants’ projects and gave high school students the opportunity to
experience first-hand these technologies and interact with the developers of these technologies. The Participant from the students are listed below
